Make a Difference in Hill County

Mission Hillsboro Medical Clinic (MHMC) welcomes individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of uninsured Hill County residents.

As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, MHMC operates entirely through the generosity of volunteers who contribute their time, professional skills, and compassion.

Whether you are a healthcare professional or a community member interested in serving others, we welcome your interest in volunteering.

Medical Volunteer Opportunities

MHMC relies on qualified healthcare professionals to provide medical care to eligible patients.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Physicians: Provide medical evaluations, treatment, and patient care.
  • Nurse Practitioners: Evaluate patients, provide treatment, and assist with chronic disease management.
  • Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses: Assist with patient assessments, clinical care, and patient education within their authorized scope of practice.
  • Medical and Nursing Assistants: Support healthcare providers with patient preparation, vital signs, and other assigned duties.
  • Phlebotomists: Assist with blood specimen collection and laboratory-related procedures.

All clinical volunteers must possess the appropriate qualifications and credentials for their assigned responsibilities.

Dental Volunteer Opportunities

MHMC also welcomes qualified dental professionals to help provide essential dental services.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Dentists: Provide dental fillings and extractions based on patient needs and available clinic resources.
  • Dental Hygienists: Provide dental cleanings and preventive oral healthcare.
  • Dental Assistants: Assist dental professionals with patient preparation, procedures, and equipment.

Due to space limitations, dentist-provided services and dental cleanings are scheduled separately.

Dental volunteer opportunities depend on clinic needs, available space, and resources.

Administrative and General Volunteer Opportunities

Healthcare professionals are not the only volunteers who make MHMC possible.

Community volunteers may assist with:

  • Patient registration and check-in.
  • Administrative and clerical support.
  • Patient coordination and general assistance.
  • Organizing clinic supplies and materials.
  • Other nonclinical activities that support clinic operations.

Assignments are based on clinic needs, volunteer availability, and appropriate training.

Regular Clinic Days: First and third Saturday of each month.
Location: 120 E. Franklin Street, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
